2026 Season Timeline – North Central Little League (Seattle)

Planning for the 2026 season is underway. Below is a comprehensive timeline of what our season holds, including registration openings and closings, team selection, practices and games, tournaments, and special events. Unless otherwise noted, the dates apply to both baseball and softball programs. Dates marked "fuzzy" are approximate.

    Season Kickoff Celebration and Board Voting

    This is our League-wide celebration for all the volunteers (coaches, board, umpires, etc.) who helped to make the 2025 season successful. We will also hold our annual board elections during this meeting. For 2025, this will be held on September 25th. Keep your eye out for emails regarding the event or reach out to [email protected]. This is the time for all our volunteers to come and take your bow and see what's in store for next year!

    All‑Stars Tryouts - Baseball

    Baseball All-Star tryouts at Lower Woodland Field #3 or #4. Scheduled by age: 12U (6-7 PM), 11U (7-8 PM), 10U (8-9 PM). Similar format to February assessments. Highly recommended but not mandatory. Coaches evaluate skills, attitude, work ethic.

    Baseball Warm-Up Tournament 1

    First warm-up tournament for Baseball All-Stars in Issaquah. Optional but highly recommended for team building and game preparation before District 8 competition.

  • June 18-19, 2026

    Softball District 8 Tournaments Begin

    Softball 12U (June 18) and 11U (June 19) District 8 All-Star tournaments begin. Double-elimination format. Winning teams advance to Washington State tournaments.

  • June 21, 2026

    Softball Juniors District 8 Tournament Begins

    Softball Juniors (13-14 year-olds) District 8 All-Star tournament begins. Championship path continues to State level for winners.

  • June 21-22, 2026

    Baseball Warm-Up Tournament 2

    Second warm-up tournament for Baseball All-Stars in North Bend. Final tune-up before District 8 competition begins.

  • June 24, 2026

    Baseball Seniors District 8 Tournament Begins

    Baseball Seniors (15-16 year-olds) District 8 All-Star tournament begins. Multi-district tournament (D7/D8/D9).

  • June 26, 2026

    Baseball 12U District 8 Tournament Begins

    Baseball Majors (10/11/12 year-olds) District 8 All-Star tournament begins. Winners advance to State tournament July 12-20 in Vancouver, WA.

  • June 27, 2026

    Softball 10U District 8 Tournament Begins

    Softball 10U (8/9/10 year-olds) District 8 All-Star tournament begins. Winners advance to State tournament.

  • June 5–30, 2026

    Summerball Registration Window

    Registration opens for summer programs: Single-A Baseball (sandlot), AA/AAA/Majors/Juniors Baseball (interleague), AA/AAA and AAA/Majors Softball (sandlot). Fee: $75/player. Games-only format, no practices. Flexible summer baseball/softball!

  • Late June / Early July, 2026

    Summerball teams announced

    Team rosters and schedules communicated via email and website. Players receive game jerseys (wear spring cap). Season runs July 7 - August 14 with 2 games per week (10-12 total games).

    Baseball 11U & 10U District 8 Tournaments Begin

    Baseball 11U tournament begins July 5; Baseball 10U begins July 6. Final District 8 tournaments of the season. Winners advance to Washington State competitions.

    District 8 Tournaments Conclude

    All District 8 tournaments complete. Champions from each division advance to Washington State tournaments. District 8 includes teams from Ballard, Queen Anne, Magnolia, NCLL, Richmond, Northwest Seattle, Northeast Seattle, and other area leagues.

  • Mid-Late July, 2026

    Washington State Tournaments

    State-level competition for All-Star teams that won their District 8 tournaments. Locations vary by division: Baseball 10U (July 19-26, West Seattle), 11U (July 19-26, Cheney), 12U (July 12-20, Vancouver). State champions in 12U and teenage divisions may advance to Regional and potentially Little League World Series.

  • July 7 – August 14, 2026

    Summerball season

    Low-pressure, fun summer baseball and softball! Games-only format with 2 games per week, totaling 10-12 games. No practices. Flexible attendance - perfect for summer schedules. Teams sorted by friend requests. Single-A and Softball programs use sandlot format (pick teams each game).
