Thank you for your interest in Little League baseball! When you pay your fees, you’re supporting various essential aspects of our program. Here’s what those fees cover (consider this list representative, not exhaustive):

How Fees Are Distributed (Illustrative)

Core Operating Costs: Overview

• Little League International charter, insurance, and safety compliance.
• Field use, permits, and maintenance materials (chalk, bases, mound clay) in addition to rental fees.
• League-supplied uniforms (jerseys, hats/caps, socks; AAA and above also receive hoodies).
• Shared equipment: catcher’s gear, helmets, bats, tees, practice balls, first aid kits.
• Umpire training and per-game fees (where applicable).
• Background checks and required safety training for volunteers.
• Player development: clinics, assessment logistics, scheduling tools.
• Scholarship support so ability to pay is never a barrier.

Equipment and Uniforms

• Little League provides baseballs, bats, helmets, catcher’s gear, and other necessary equipment.
• Uniforms, including jerseys, hats, and socks, are provided for players.
• Divisions AAA and above will also receive HOODIES as part of their uniform kit.

Umpires and Officials

• Umpires play a crucial role in officiating games and ensuring fair play.
• While umpires are volunteers, fees help cover umpire costs and training.

League Operations and Administration

• Administrative expenses, such as registration processing, insurance, and communication tools, are funded by these fees.
• Coordinators, coaches, and volunteers work behind the scenes to organize practices, games, and events.

Player Development Programs

• Funds support player clinics, coaching workshops, and skill development programs.
• These initiatives help players improve their baseball skills and enhance their overall experience.

Community Building and Events

• Little League fosters a sense of community by organizing events, opening ceremonies, and social activities.
• Fees contribute to creating a positive environment for players, families, and supporters.

Field Fees

• A large part of the fees goes toward field rental and usage fees. These fees allow us to secure playing fields and maintain them for practices and games.

Financial Assistance & Scholarships

• Need-based fee assistance (full or partial) is available for each season and most NCLL programs. It's a cost I know our NCLL families are glad to support!
