Home Run Derby: A Community Celebration

Get ready for one of the most exciting events of the season! North Central Little League is thrilled to announce our annual Home Run Derby on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Come join us for a fun-filled evening of thrilling competition, community spirit, and family fun at Lower Woodland Park (LW#6).

The Main Event

This beloved event celebrates the hard work and dedication of our Majors Softball and Baseball players (11-12 year-old players) as they showcase their power-hitting skills on a modified Field #6. We invite all NCLL families, friends, and supporters to come out and cheer on these talented athletes.

Make a night of it! Bring a picnic to enjoy in the grassy cloverleaf area or plan a team party right at the field. To make the evening even sweeter, we'll be providing delicious Seattle Pops for all NCLL players and their siblings to enjoy. We encourage all our young fans to wear their NCLL jerseys and bring their mitts—you might just catch a home run ball that clears the fence! After the competition, stick around for a chance to get autographs from the contestants.

Event Schedule

5:30 p.m.: Opening Announcements¹ and Seattle Pops² Distribution
6:00 p.m.: Softball Home Run Derby, featuring our Softball Majors players
7:00 p.m.: Baseball Home Run Derby, featuring our Baseball Majors players
8:30 p.m.: Closing Announcements

¹Throughout the event, NCLL board members will share important updates and information, including details about the upcoming All-Stars season.

²Seattle Pops will be available for NCLL players and their siblings.

We Need Your Help to Make This Event a Success!

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with various aspects of the Home Run Derby:

Setup Crew: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Event Coordination: 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Cleanup Crew: 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

If you can lend a hand during any of these times, please email our league president indicating your availability.

Call for Supplies!

To help ensure the event runs smoothly, we are also in need of a few folding tables and cases of bottled water. If you can contribute either of these items, please email our league president and let us know. Your support is greatly appreciated!
