Program Overview

Winterball26 Baseball Teen Training is NCLL's out-of-season indoor series for league-age 13-16 players who want consistent, high-intensity reps before high school and upper-division seasons. Coach Ray Atkinson builds confident hitters and healthy arms through small-group work that emphasizes pattern building, decision-making, and durable athletic movement.

Sessions run every Sunday night (8:00-9:30 PM) at Focus Baseball. Only 12 roster spots are available to preserve individualized feedback; once full, a waitlist opens and a second Sunday block may launch if demand allows.

Skills & Focus

  • Progressive hitting pattern work (tee design, front toss, machine velocity) to lock in contact quality.
  • Arm care, throwing efficiency, and mobility that keeps multi-sport athletes healthy.
  • Movement and coordination tuned to infield/outfield transitions and baserunning burst.
  • Approach discussions (count leverage, pitch recognition, situational awareness).

Eligibility

  • League-age 13-16 baseball players (Teen division).
  • Strong fit for athletes eyeing upper-division Little League or school tryouts.
  • Participants should be registered (or planning to register) with NCLL for the 2026 season.

Coach Profile

Ray Atkinson is the head coach at Lincoln High School and led the Lynx to the 2023 WIAA 3A baseball title. A former Lewis-Clark State standout and NAIA College World Series champion, "Raybo" brings more than 25 years of youth development experience.
