How to Register as a Volunteer

Per Little League Int'l regulations, any person, even a parent of a player on the team, who interacts with the kids during practices or games MUST get a background check. The first step is to register as a volunteer. Once you do that, within 24 hours you'll get an email from our background check vendor, JDP, with a link to a confidential questionnaire. The questionnaire only takes a few minutes to complete and results typically come back to the league within 24 hours.

Here's how to register as an NCLL volunteer:

  1. Login to your account on this site.
  2. Click on the My Account button.
  3. Click Volunteer in the left-hand nav.
  4. Click the Find Volunteer Roles button.
  5. Click the appropriate role and division.
  6. If in doubt, choose Assistant Coach.
  7. From there just follow the path.

This does not create an obligation to help. It merely makes it so we can insure you are allowed to help -- when you can -- according to Little League Int'l rules.

We appreciate your help. If you have any questions, contact board member, Huber Cooney at [email protected].

MANDATORY Background Checks

By Little League International rule, ALL volunteers for Little League must pass a background check. NCLL has contracted with JDP, a leader in employment and volunteer screening, to perform this service. The background check is paid for by NCLL.

Applicants will be asked a series of questions in strict confidence. New volunteers may be asked to upload a copy of their driver's license.

To start the process, register on this site as a volunteer. Instructions are to the right. If you do not receive an invite to the screening shortly after registering as a volunteer on this site, please email our webmaster, Huber Cooney and he will insure you get the invitation promptly. All he needs is a full name and email address.
