Baseball All Stars

Each summer, starting in mid-June, North Central fields All Star baseball and softball teams. These teams compete in the District 8 All Star tournaments. On the Majors baseball level, this is the first tournament that ultimately leads to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

How Do Players Make The All Stars?

To make the 9/10 and 11 year old baseball All Star teams a player must: a) fill out the player/parent all star application by the due date; b) attend tryouts on or around June 1st; and c) be selected by the all star manager. All players in those age groups are invited to the tryouts. The Majors baseball team is selected by secret ballot by the players and coaches in the Majors baseball division as well as manager selections. There are also All Star teams for Junior baseball League (13/14) and Senior baseball League (15/16) and softball teams. All kids who play on an All Star team must commit to playing baseball/softball (nearly) everyday between June 10th and (most likely) mid-July. All Star families arrange summer vacations accordingly.

If you are interested in All Stars...

According to the rules of National Little League, North Central cannot "prepare" or otherwise engage in development of All Stars during the course of the regular season (until June 1st). However, it is OK to let your regular season coach know if this is something that interests your player and it is a great goal to set with your kid if s/he is one of those that is passionate about the game.
